So, I had just gotten back into the swing of real life again after my Tuolumne/Tahoe trip at the beginning of July… (here’s the detailed trip report) and then, I received a CD of photos from the official trip photographer.
He didn’t shoot much this trip… in a party of four, there’s not exactly time to sit around and take pictures, since you’re pretty much either on belay or climbing. One thing you can count on with Shawn Campbell, though, is a daily solo walkabout or two… during which he snaps the landscapes that make my eyes water. Shawn’s comment on the photos is the same as always: “they’re not very good…” I’ll let you be the judge.
Here’s the link to the condensed album, with captions… not all the pics are there, since my internet connectivity is really slow…
And here are some of the highlights (sans captions, follow the link above to the album for captions, I’m just too tired to mess around with blogger at the moment) so that I can finally break my photo-free streak. Thank you, Shawn. Not only was it a wonderful trip the first time around… now, getting to see just how beautiful the place really truly was, it’s a wonderful trip all over again.
Not very good, my strange ass.
